To begin the new training season, PwC’s Academy offers everyone interested, whether you are in Latvia or abroad, an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge of taxes and other relevant business topics online.
Tax matters, constant changes and statutory amendments create extra tensions for businesses and individuals alike. To navigate the tax maze and various laws and regulations and follow key developments in an area of your interest, the best solution is to check up on changes regularly and know your way around the relevant resources. This gives you a sense of security that you have not missed any important changes and are able to avoid potential risks early.
Being aware that today’s fast-paced life makes it difficult to keep abreast of various legislative changes, PricewaterhouseCoopers SIA (PwC) has devised its Tax Foundation Course, a special 6-month training programme aimed at educating the public on tax matters. In its 14th season, the programme studies theoretical matters and provides practical knowledge of the Latvian tax system and the personal income tax, corporate income tax and value added tax treatment, by analysing examples, the Latvian legislation, and interpretations issued by competent authorities. During the course we will also be looking at other aspects of tax treatment and matters that are important in dealing with daily tax issues.
The content of the training course and the topics it covers will be particularly valuable for CEOs, bookkeepers, financial accounting and management experts, lawyers, consultants and human capital managers, as well as anyone interested in gaining tax knowledge.
The programme lecturers are experienced PwC tax experts who advise Latvian and international companies in various industries on a daily basis, take part in drafting and debating various laws and regulations with government agencies, and have an excellent understanding of the Latvian and foreign tax systems and situations facing companies across industries.
The Tax Foundation Course is divided into several modules. You can opt for attending the full training course or choose a separate training module you are interested in. The training is delivered in the Latvian language.
If you have applied for the course but are unable to join an online workshop on the stated date, you will be provided with a video recording of the course so you can listen to it at a convenient time.
Online workshops are held weekly on Wednesdays 14:00–17:30.
