According to the Auto Association, Latvia set a record in new EV registrations in 2023: 8.8% of total registered new passenger vehicles were electrical. On 27 April 2023, Parliament approved amendments to the Corporate Income Tax (CIT) Act in their final reading. The amendments set a higher threshold for luxury executive vehicles – EUR 75,000 instead of EUR 50,000 (excluding VAT). The new threshold will apply to company cars acquired after 1 June 2023.
